Miraculum, a long-established Polish cosmetics company, is entering the Chinese market the Polish Trade and Investment Agency (PAIH) said in the statement.

The Polish company signed a letter of intent with a Chinese distributor and, by March 31 at the latest, the sides will conclude a long-term commercial cooperation agreement.

The cooperation of the Polish company with the Chinese contractor is the result of the successful presentation of the Polish cosmetics company at China International Import Expo, the country’s largest exhibition of imported goods, a PAIH spokesperson stressed.

“We had the largest national pavilion among all EU countries, which featured Polish cosmetics, food tasting zones, as well as an area which featured Polish video games. This quickly translated into contracts,” the PAIH representative was quoted as saying by the Polish press agency, PAP.

According to Miraculum’s spokesperson, quoted in the PAIH’s statement, participation in China International Import Expo was a great starting point to launch business in the Asian nation that is the world’s largest exporter and second-largest importer of goods.

Miraculum was established in the 1920s. The company has been active in the development and sale of face and body care cosmetics, perfumes, hair removal preparations and make-up cosmetics. In the 1970s-80s the brands belonging to Miraculum were very popular in Eastern Europe countries. Currently Miraculum has 14 brands in its portfolio. Since 2007, the company has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
